Well, this happened like a few weeks ago. In fact almost 1 month ago. I should have posted it but just that I'm kinda "BUSY" with my work, life, and LOVE~~~. (eh hem!). Anyway, here are the photos that I took during the concert. Most of all, it was definitely a good experience that I went gaga over them, but that was not the peak moment. The best moment was went I received a VIP back stage to individually took photos with them. I couldn't believe my luck that actually my cousin who was the one organizing this concert and henceforth me and my mom have this privilege to get into the back stage.

Pictures itself speaks a thousand words. As you all can see, we really enjoy ourselves in IF a lot and for sure we are going to miss that place a lot. Not to say that we only miss San Yen and Birdie, but to all the Ifians as well as the office itself. Why the office you must be wondering. As for me, the office leaves a lot of memory for us to remember, from the day we step in, staying up till early 5 in the morning, till the day we left. Though at first we felt like a stranger to that place, but slowly as time goes by, we felt like IF is our second home immediately. The bittersweet moments of our internship in IF interactive (not Ai Eff) will always remain in our heart. Here, I wish you guys all the best, and hope to see you guys soon. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and let us learn a lot of things required in our field.

Went to this Pasta Zanmai in One Utama, food taste good and love the "Milky Green Tea".

The soup is really good. Love the clams...very fresh..

I've ordered this Asahi.....cream sauce...EmmmMMmm..Yummy...but I preferred the dried sauce that I've tried the other days.

The clam teriyaki also one that I would recommend to everyone. It's really yummy...

Experiencing in IF

Working in IF is definitely a surprise for me. Never expect that I will be chosen to be an intern in IF. More surprisingly, it is one of hardest to achieve in their demand. (Well what do you expect in working environment). The fun part while working with IF is to stay up late for hours and hours to just come out an interface design which we have been planning and discussing for the past 5 weeks. For sure life is tough, but my expectation in working life is far more different from what I've expected. Firstly, it is not like what we saw on TV where lots of drama happen and though I presume there are some companies like that, but hey not IF though. Secondly, yeah for sure I know there will be OT all the time but never expect the OT will be like until 5am...Is just like we are rushing for our last minutes assignment...Well anyway, here are some photos that we have taken during our meeting and discussion. 3D classes definitely is one of the best class I had. The overall arrangement of the syllabus are really smooth and well planned. Though it is not a very easy task to finish up the whole saxophone, it is really a self satisfying achievement when we finish the whole model.

As for the movie, needless to say it is really a time consuming project. We have to travel back and forth just to do the animatic story board shooting as well as the movie itself. However, the overall achievement of our very first short-filmed is really a piece that we are proud of. To everyone who contribute this project, I have to shout out loud to them, "GREAT JOB".

One of my fav picture. James Franco, an excellent actor that portray well on James Dean. I've watched this movie a dozen of time and I have to shout out loud that it is really brilliant. Though the movie only tell the story of James Dean in a very brief version, still it covered pretty well of the overall.

I'm a very 'kolot' person. I love to watch all those old movies. I'm an old timer and love the nostalgic feeling. Sometimes I felt like I've experience the lifestyle before during the era when I watch all those old movie. That is why I love all those old movies.

Life is always about decision. Should I do this, or shouldn't do this. I though life should be simple and easy. Every decision made will always come with end judgment, consequent. This is the thing I fear most. The future is far from us to predict, and what we do now will lead us to our future. Therefore the decision comes in hand of which way to go. People always said that things will be in good hand if you make the right decision. What is right? For example, when the time for you to think of having a slight break, does it mean wrong to help others with their work for a while when you know that you haven't even finish your work yet and the due date is coming near. I always stuck in between here. I'm a person who believe in karma. If I help the person in the nick of time, I believe in the end I will be rewarded somehow. But sometimes, things just doesn't go your way at all.
I'm tired. Tired of living in life of decision. How I wish there is life in time where I can just sit back and relax with my Summer.......

I love drawing patterns. Every of my spare time, I will occupied myself with sketches of weird patterns that slowly form into a figure or sometimes it may lead into a bizarre surreal feeling of entrapment. Maybe that is just me. Like they always said, the subliminal unconscious mind that draw upon you into a picture form.

James Dean is one of my biggest idol of all. Not because he is a real hunky dude. But in fact, his characteristic of uncanny rebellious that makes me delve into the delusion of becoming like him. Maybe we are not so much different, the only thing that set us apart is, I never take chances and risks. Maybe this is the only unfortunate characteristic that hold me back to be who I really am or wish for.

Other that James Dean, Marilyn Monroe is the other idol of mine. She is one hot sexy chick that I wish that I can have her all to myself. Same as James Dean, her characteristic that attract me so much that I wish I have half of her confidence of being sassy.

Time past by and day by day, I felt like life just swift away from my own destiny. I am just as confused as others that what is ahead of me is still blurring. I felt like there is a purpose for me to be here, but yet the answer is not upon my grasp. I'm still looking, I'm still waiting.

The mission domain here is to sell the product itself and to redesign their previous website. Hence, their USP has to be the core subject for the website. What the website has to offer are their varieties of products, their company profile/about us, their information and career, and contact us. From the aspects of the website provision, the vision will be to increase their sales products by at least 10%. Therefore the mission to achieve this is to increase the target consumer to actually access to the website to get more information. I believe that most consumer still remember their slogan of “Have a Break, Have a Kit Kat”. Therefore, the slogan will still remain. The current website is really too complex and as for user experience they might lose interest based on the loading time and dodgy images. As a result, the user might find it difficult to delve deeper into the site. So, the mission to solve the problem is to have a simpler and clean design. To accomplish an increase in sales, we have to study the local consumer culture. Based on a small scale of survey, mostly Malaysian consumer tends to see what is inside the packages before they buy the product itself. Therefore, the image of the product itself sells. Other aspect of Malaysian consumer behavior is price conscience. However, this aspect has to segment it to different target audience. For example, middle income earner might prefer a fancier snack product and they did not mind spending a little bit more. In addition, most Malaysian consumer prefer imported product, hence the packaging that reach the global standardized do sell. Same as the website, when the image of the website can reach the global standard, the viewer will tend to be more interested. How this can be achieved is to make the website more interactive.

Kit Kat stands out more when we compared it as a snack chocolate confectionery product. So, their target audiences are witty and fun, especially the teenager range. Hence, based on the interactive session, video for the commercial product will be a good place to start. Video of the commercial has to tell their target audiences that, Kit Kat is a globalize product and the consumer will have such a privilege with a minimum cost.

The primary competitors for Kit Kat will be among the Cadbury “Time Out”, Mars Inc “Twix” and Ferrero “Kinder Bueno”. Among these three competitors, the most popular will be the “Time Out”. However, mostly Malaysian still prefers Kit Kat. Although Cadbury had been famous for its original milk chocolate, yet still when it comes to the snack bars, Kit Kat will be the first choice. Hence, we can see that the competitors trying to improvise the original wafer coated with milk chocolate with other ingredients, such as “Time Out” which inserted flakes, “Twix” combined with caramel flavor and “Kinder Bueno” using hazelnut chocolate. So their key differences from Kit Kat will be the ingredient. Consequently, from all the competitors, their promotion and marketing approach are using their key differences of unique selling point (their key ingredient) to differentiate themselves.

From the packaging point of view, Kit Kat definitely stands out more because of the striking red and convenient size. As general point of review, the design of a packaging is becoming increasingly important in all aspects of life. Consumers are definitely becoming more design conscious, demanding that goods are not only functional but are aesthetically pleasing. Lifestyles affect products and their packs, more people are eating on the move creating opportunities for chocolate bar-lines to compete in the snack market. Thus, comparison from all the competitors packaging, Kit Kat did a good job with their product picture snap shot in front of their packing which give a clearer meaning of what type of confectionery chocolate bar. Nevertheless, “Time Out” did a good job on their product name, because it straight forwardly telling the consumer that this is a snack bar. On the other hand, “Twix” packaging may be a bit dull and misleading, because their packing just have their product name and didn’t mention that what type of confectionery. On the same time, their gold packaging is not that appealing. As for “Kinder Bueno”, their packaging is interesting, in spite of this, the packaging is big and bulky compare with others.

From their marketing system, Cadbury tends to go towards the placement of their product. The key term will be “location, location, location”. Normally, their product will be placed on the middle shelf where it is the same eye level of most consumers (adults to teenagers). As for “Twix” they are not that concerned of their product placement, but their brand product of Mars Inc that carried all the way of recognition. Same as “Kinder Bueno”, they are not too concern on their product placement but their highly recognized brand of Ferraro that help to maintain their sales. While Kit Kat on the other hand, promote their product by inducing a lower price compare to the competitors. It might be from the reason of their manufactured ingredients which are mostly local that help them to lower down their price. This is their strength, because in the supply and demand mechanism, when the price is low, demand tends to go up (Who do not like cheaper price when it served the same purposes).

1. Tabulated navigation system is a very good way to save space and easy to excess to the content straight forwardly. It is very good way to give lots of information in a very constraint area.

2. A rollover effect that served as a purpose of sub-navigation is a clever idea to bullet out each point to link to and show out information.

3. Sandbox is a new way to connect with the user, where survey was conducted in another window and always value customer opinion not just based on their product but their interface user friendliness. They even provide login user system which might make the user more like a part of them.

2. A big space to fill in the content. Though inconvenient to scroll all the way down, to me information based here is very important. Hence, it is alright.

4. Big space to write the contents, but unfortunately the indication on which page you are in now is only viewable on the tab icon of title. It would be even better if the indication can be placed within the navigation icon to indicate which page you are in, or a big title on the content.

1. Blank space. Not well planned for the screen size.

2. Misleading pictures. It is neither icons of navigation nor served as a purpose of selling point. To me, if I am a first time user, this type of pictures are somehow clickable, hence it lead to misleading.

3. Rollover effect which the fonts changed its colour and blinking arrow. However, for the bigger size of content on the left hand side, it does not link to anywhere though it does not has the effect on the fonts changed its colour, only the blinking arrow.

4. 2 homes icons. It is unnecessarily. Nonetheless, the corporate logo placement on the top left of the website, to me, is an ideal placement.

5. Sadly to say that the sub navigation which contain the most important issue had been place on the second rank/level in the placement. Normally it will on the very top list. In addition, the top list is place with “Frequently asked questions”, which I think would be best on the lowest list after the most important issues had been clarified.

6. A cheesy flash animation. In my opinion, the size is too big and should give the space for the content area, which is the most important for any corporate website.

7. A repetition on icon clickable similar to bullet point 4. “Free Wallpaper”, 3 clickable icons on the same page is unnecessarily.

8. Space wise that the top will be given a bigger area so that the i-frame will be unnecessarily, or just to set out the priority on the main focus.

Overall

Identity for corporate website, in my opinion, is to serve as a purpose on giving out information of a certain company and to communicate with the stakeholders/shareholders. Therefore, the main focus for a corporate website is their information. Linda Volkers, a consultant at “Jungle Rating” who is responsible for online communication projects and is specialized in communication strategy, organizational advice and online financial communication, mentioned that, “….getting into an online active dialogue with stakeholders”, is the key role to play in corporate website. [1] However, for my personal experiences while browsing through Yakult site, I felt a bit lost and not too much information that I need to know to invest in it. On the other hand, contrary to the information to invest, introducing the company itself in this site had done a tremendous good job. The whole process of how the yakult was made from, and history of the company had been explained with full details and simple to understand.

As for McDonald, it has a very straight forward grid system, and to my opinion it is a good thing, as in corporate website, hierarchy and easy excess to the information is really important.

The content based had been divided into either 3 or 4 columns which to me is a very neat layout. The spacing given to fill out the information is very straight forward and it is easy to link to the related pages for the viewer to explore.

There is a slight imperfection, which had been mentioned on the bullet point above, the indication of which page the viewer is in now.

Overall, a very good information based either in introducing the company, or sharing out information about their company profile, or even their events and news.

Lastly, IBM also has a very straight forward grid system, and to my opinion it is a good thing, as in corporate website, hierarchy and easy excess to the information is really important.

The focus point on this website is their USP (Unique selling point), which is in the middle part with the biggest portion. Together with their catchiest title attention, viewer a bound to check it out more.

Overall, very good information based either in introducing the company, or sharing out information about their company profile, or even their events and news. Addition to that, they cleverly make used of every single space to present their information and it does not seem too crowded.

Annie's Strawberry Dessert

INGREDIENTS

1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 1/2 quarts fresh strawberries, halved
1 (8 ounce) jar ready-to-use strawberry glaze

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Mix the butter, flour, and pecans in a bowl, and press into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes; do not allow to brown. Set aside until completely cool.
In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Blend in the whipped topping. Spread over the cooled crust. Refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight.
Top with strawberries and drizzle with glaze to serve.

Caramel Glazed Flan

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup white sugar
2 egg yolks
6 egg whites
1 3/4 cups water
1 (14 ounce) can low-fat sweetened condensed milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a heavy skillet over medium-low heat, cook and stir sugar until melted and light brown. Carefully pour into a 9-inch round baking dish, tilting the dish to coat the bottom completely.
In a medium bowl, beat egg yolks and egg whites. Stir in water, condensed milk, vanilla and salt until smooth. Pour into prepared dish. Line a roasting pan with a damp kitchen towel. Place baking dish on towel, inside roasting pan, and place roasting pan on oven rack. Fill roasting pan with boiling water to reach halfway up the sides of the baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven 1 hour, until center is just set (still a bit jiggly). Remove dish to a wire rack to cool for one hour. Then refrigerate several hours or overnight.
To un mold, run a knife around the edge of the pan and invert onto a rimmed serving platter.

Hot Fudge Ice-cream Bar

INGREDIENTS

1 (16 ounce) can chocolate syrup
3/4 cup peanut butter
19 ice cream sandwiches
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 cup salted peanuts

DIRECTIONS

Pour the chocolate syrup into a medium microwave safe bowl and microwave 2 minutes on high. Do not allow to boil. Stir peanut butter into hot chocolate until smooth. Allow to cool to room temperature.
Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish with a layer of ice cream sandwiches. Spread half the whipped topping over the sandwiches. Spoon half the chocolate mixture over that. Top with half the peanuts. Repeat layers. Freeze until firm, 1 hour. Cut into squares to serve.

Gorillaz is one of the icon that I'm going to use as the navigation system. Since I have 4 buttons, and they have 4 members in the band, I can relate them both together. My story and flow charts are basically about my lifestyle and personalities towards my work. Hence, the four member of this band also can be related together as my 3 other members of friends that influence me and inspired me.

I will used a more simple graphic rather than just copy their art style. My art direction will be based more on the line art form and maybe collage and some simple pattern to compliment each other.

Fifth Website First Assignment

This website is interesting due to its animation character, icons and
avatars. However, to me, the fonts and the bottom layer is not
that suitable for this site. It looks like somehow quite serious
with the fonts and arrangement of the bottom layer. To me,
I think the dominant color of black also not as suitable to describe
a cartoon game website. The different usage of fonts also make the
combination out of match. Though the layout system remind its
consistency, yet the combination still not that match as well as the color
combination is not match. I know there are many colors involved
but, it can be better such as without the bottom layer to layer out
the title. It can make it as a logo and put it at the top left side of bottom
right side. It will better as to the whole site using the background only
and don't have the bottom black layer to put all the navigations in a row.
Instead, the site can be as a hidden navigation as for the audience to
explore, since this website target audience is more of the teenage
range where they are more adventurous and with their
experience on the game sure will find a way to play around
with the navigation layout.

Fourth Website First Assignment

This is a very interesting website, it is about a print designer.
Using the middle circle as the scrolling system and the way
they play with the icons for back, click and etc, are seriously
interesting. Though some of the icons still sticked to the
traditional symbol, which I think is universal friendly, had
wisely placed onto the website to make the overall website
looks clean, neat and simple. It is not those very typical
website where mostly store all the information into one
pages, this website put it with different pages which each
had been given a title. It is very good of how user friendly
of this website is, and the interactive icons had make it
even more adventurous. Overall I really like this
website a lot of it's simplicity, space wise and color
combination that sooth the eyes.

Third Website First Assignment

Beautiful illustration and the animated icons (boat with wheel and balloon)
make this website really interesting. Though it is an understandable
what is this website about because the title had been given
within the very introduction page. However, it will be even
better if a title had been given to each pages.
Wise used of limited spaces and making the whole
environment not too crowded. Yet there is
a tiny flaw. The sub navigation on top using
the pictures icons some had been blocked by the
the angels that hold up the picture in a bigger view.
Still, overall the consistency is still there and the grid system
of this website had maintained. One thing I really like
about this website, not just the illustration, but also the
loading time. While the pictures on the sub navigations are still
uploading, you still can view the pictures on the same time.
This indeed make the audience whom have no patience
more convenient.

Though this website portrayed Billie Holiday well, the contents
and arrangement are too much. I know the reasons of flowing
out all the information as to this website is all about the life
and bibliography of an artist and so nothing should be
missing out. Still, I think it is too clutter, and will prefer
if the idea of just filling everything in one whole pages
instead of scrolling it up and down which is too
inconvenient. Either this site can use another window
that appear on the same page but the scrolling is within the box.
Hence the view will be just within the box to get all
information.

First Website First Assignment

The simplicity was the key role of this web pages.
The dominant color is obviously black and the complementary
color are blue, white and red.
From here, I've learned that the grid system for this web
pages is very simple and though the consistency
is there and repeat on the same time, still
the way they cover line it through the arrangement
system of their icons and details had constantly changing.
For example, not just keeping the picture
in all the same position, it changes
throughout the time and some content it divided
into different division instead of putting it as sub navigation.
The margin, gave the audience a space to
breath as it leave out a big space for a better eye sight.
This website kept its simplicity of using mostly picture to scream
out the idea of what the information are about. Overall
to some might seems kind of boring layout, and I do agree
that it is not adventure enough to keep everyone
attention. However, bear in mind that this
website is dedicated to a serious profession photographer, and
it certainly describe him well.
